'Making Manchester Fairer' Event

The Manchester and Trafford House Project team attended the 'Making Manchester Fairer' event to develop their understanding of Manchester's action plan and how this may benefit our young people.

Project Launch in Bury, Rochdale & Oldham

21st October 2022

The launch of Bury, Rochdale and Oldham House Project on 10th October was an exciting event. It was held at Rochdale Youth Centre and saw young people, PAs, Social Workers and other colleagues joining together to celebrate the House Project beginning in the area. Alex Chaloner, a young person from Rochdale, welcomed attendees to the event stating, “after many months of planning and preparing, interviews and much more, we are thrilled to have you here… let’s continue to change the narrative for young people”.

House Projects in Scotland event - March 2024

We were delighted to be joined by Natalie Don, The Minister for Children, Young People and Keeping the Promise, Fraser McKinlay, CEO of The Promise Scotland and Heather Coady, an Independent Consultant, who share a passion and commitment to changing the system for people in, and leaving, care in Scotland. Not only did they address the conference but they got to hear from Local House Project staff and young people on how they are working together to improve the way in which young people leave care and how this meets the commitments made in The Promise in 2020.

Visit to Cohort 3!

Went to visit the young people this week from our previous cohort in their new homes now they are a bit more settled and have mostly everything they need.
